SPA members can now take advantage of an exciting new partnership with Brighton Journalist Works, offering a 10% discount on part-time and weekend courses.

Aspiring journalists will be able to knock more than £300 off their NCTJ fees at one of the UK’s top accredited courses, as well as complete the course alongside their degree.

Paula O’Shea, Managing Director at Brighton Journalist Works (BJW), said: “Anyone writing for a student publication is already interested in journalism so why not leave university fully qualified?

“Weekend classes offer flexibility for students to get their NCTJ qualifications so they can hit the ground running once they graduate.”

The part-time course has classes all-day on Saturday, as well as on Monday evenings.

If you’re a member of the SPA or write for any of its member publications, you can get access to the discount by signing up for their part time, weekend course starting in September.

Simply apply online, making sure you put the SPA as your reference.
